Château La Galiane takes its name from the English general Galian, who led his troops during the occupation of Aquitaine in the 15th century. A family property for five generations, the 5.71-hectare vineyard, with an average vine age of 55 years, is distributed among the premier crus of the appellation. It is planted with the finest Médoc grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, on gravelly and sandy-gravel soils, giving its wines unique richness and complexity.
The wines of Château La Galiane are distinguished by a beautiful ruby color, a delicate bouquet, and a fruity, harmonious, and elegant palate. They have excellent aging potential and pair wonderfully with white or red meats, as well as certain cheeses.
